Welcome to Modish Cat, where style meets whiskers

If you've ever sighed at a frumpy cat tree or tried to hide your litter box behind a curtain, you're in the right place.

I'm Nofar, a furniture and interior design aficionado, feline devotee, and the human behind this blog. I created Modish Cat for people like you: design-conscious cat parents who refuse to sacrifice aesthetics for functionality.

Why I started this blog

As a lifelong cat lover and a design enthusiast, I've always asked myself: why should cat furniture be any less stylish than human furniture?

Pets' items are present in our space in the same way our own items are, so if I care about the color of the armchair in my living room, why should I compromise on the aesthetic of my cat's scratching post?

During my brief transition from software engineering to interior design (which I have since transitioned back from!) I began working for a leading furniture brand as a junior planner. It was then that I learned how good design, the kind that thoughtfully addresses real needs, can transform not just how a space looks, but how it feels.

It struck me that cats have needs too, needs that are often met with clunky, ugly, or poorly thought-out solutions. Our homes deserve better, and so do our cats.

That's why I started Modish Cat: to curate beautiful, functional, and high-quality cat furniture and accessories that complement modern interiors and support our cats' natural instincts.

About me

I live in a three-bedroom apartment with my family and our cat Flaca, the original muse for this blog. My approach blends aesthetic curiosity with a practical mindset, always asking: how can we give our cats what they need while keeping our homes joyful and harmonious?

I'm thrilled to share my findings with you and build a community of modern cat lovers who believe that function and style can (and should!) live together, purring peacefully.

Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to the modish side of cat parenting.
